British man risks his life to rescue a lion and a wolf from Ukraine. Here's how

The man named Tim Locks, travelled the 1200-mile round trip from Lviv to Zaporizhzhia Oblast to rescue the animals after finding out about their condition from a fellow conservationist.
A British man, who once fought in Iraq with Kurdish Peshmerga forces, rushed to evacuate a stranded lion and a wolf from a zoo in Ukraine. 28 days after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine, disturbing footage from the country has been surfacing on the internet. But hopeful stories like this animal rescue are something that netizens have showered their praise on.
The man, identified as Tim Locks, travelled the 1200-mile round trip from Lviv to Zaporizhzhia Oblast to rescue the animals after knowing about their condition from a fellow conservationist. Earlier this month, six lions and six tigers were evacuated from near Kyiv and were later transferred to a zoo in Poland. Sadly, Simba the lion and Akela the wolf were stranded in war-ravaged Ukraine.
Thankfully, Locks made sure to evacuate the animals safely and he risked his own life to complete the four-day-long mission. He even shared updates of the animals along the journey on his Facebook.

According to a report by DailyMail, the animals were lifted from their cages by crane and placed in the back of Tim’s van. The operation took three hours, using translators to direct the crane driver to remove the cages and place them in the back of the van.
