Indian Railway staff's swift action turned a medical emergency involving a toddler into relief aboard a train from Bengaluru to Gujarat.
A baby falling sick on a moving train could have led to chaos, but for one family, it led to a moment of reassurance, thanks to quick-thinking staff of Indian Railways.
Bhavna, a dentist, shared her experience on Instagram, recalling how her baby suddenly fell unwell during a train journey from Bengaluru to Gujarat on March 13. In a video post, she explained that her child began vomiting after consuming drumstick soup, leaving the parents anxious and unsure of what to do next.
“I panicked and asked the TTE about how can I order medicines on train, not expecting much,” read the text in her video, capturing the urgency of the moment.
What followed, however, took her by surprise. Instead of just offering basic assistance, the railway staff coordinated immediate help. As the train reached Hindupur station, a doctor was already present to attend to the child. The baby was examined on the spot and given the required medication, easing the parents’ worries.
“They also provided us with a proper bill. I was truly shocked and so grateful for how quickly they acted,” the video text added, highlighting both the efficiency and transparency of the response.

If true, the deployment will give Britain the capability to launch strikes on Iran in case the regional conflict escalates drastically. Earlier, on Friday, the British government had authorised the US military to use military bases in Britain to carry out strikes on Iranian missile sites that are attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
