US President Joe Biden has invited Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to visit the United States.
US President Joe Biden on Saturday invited Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to visit the United States.
"Challenges you face today only make it a heck of a lot more important we spend time together. I want to formally invite you to the States," Agence France Presse (AFP) quoted Biden as saying.
On July 16, Biden met with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in a bilateral meeting during the Summit of the United States and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Egypt, Iraq, and Jordan.
According to the White House statement, Biden offered his personal condolences to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and all Emiratis on the loss of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan.
As per the statement, Biden offered his congratulations to President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed on his recent election as UAE President and conveyed an invitation for him to visit the United States later this year.
