In a short clip that is doing the rounds of the internet, a baby elephant was spotted pumping a tube well to drink water from it. The incident occurred in the Jaldapara area of Alipurduar district in Bengal. This baby elephant is just nine-months-old and was born in the Jaldapara Central Pillkhana. It so happened that the elephant spotted residents of the area operating a tube well and decided to try using it himself. Soon after, he pumped the tube well and drank water to his heart’s content to quench his thirst. People observed the elephant from a distance and recorded the video. Needless to mention that the clip has now gone viral on social media.
