Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra is quite active on Twitter and keeps posting content that goes viral in no time and can also trigger a discussion among netizens. On August 3, the businessman shared a video of an innovation by a US-based company called the American Road Patch. It is actually a patch with an adhesive back that sticks and covers potholes instantly. According to Mahindra, the product might be essential for India. However, the internet disagrees with him. Anand Mahindra shared the video of the American Road Patch on Twitter. In the over 2-minute clip, workers can be seen covering potholes with the adhesive patch. As per the video, it is made from a combination of high-quality asphalt, polymer and geo-synthetic fiberglass. “When applied on roads, it forms a waterproof seal to cover potholes and cracks,” reads the text in the clip.

The American Road Patch is also faster than the time-consuming road repairing procedure.

“I’d say this is an innovation that’s essential for India. Some building/construction material company needs to either emulate this or collaborate with this firm and get it out here pronto!” Anand Mahindra captioned the post.
