Alia Bhatt received a sum of Rs 20 crore for her recently released film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. Find out how much was Ajay Devgn paid.

Alia Bhatt's latest film, Gangubai Kathiawadi has impressed her fans. The Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directorial was released on February 25 in the theatres. In fact, this is one of his most expensive films. As per Money Control, Gangubai Kathiawadi was created on a huge budget of Rs 100 crore which included the stunning set design and an amazing star cast. So of course, the actors in the film were also paid a huge amount. That being said, let's take a look at Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn's salaries that they received from the film.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is doing well at the box office and it has managed to bring back the audience to the theatres. Alia Bhatt plays the titular role of Gangubai Kathiawadi. According to several reports, the actress made a hefty sum of Rs 20 crore from the film. This marks the first collaboration of Alia and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She had earlier said that she wanted to work with SLB since the age of nine.

Ajay Devgn was seen in a cameo in Gangubai Kathiawadi. He played the role of Rahim Lala, the person who brought Gangubai to great power. For this cameo role, Ajay Devgn reportedly earned a total of Rs 11 crore.

Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime drama based on Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai. Besides Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, the film stars Parth Samthaan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. Gangubai Kathiawadi is produced by Jayantilal Gada. The film narrates the story of a woman named Ganga, played by Alia, who becomes a madame named Gangubai in the red light area of Kamathipura. The story shows how she rose to power, fighting one challenge after another.

After the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will be seen next in RRR with Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn. The actress also has Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra lined up for release. She will be seen sharing screen space with her boyfriend Ranbir for the first time in a film. Besides these two movies, Alia will be working on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn will be making his web series debut with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness. The thriller will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on March 4. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, Rudra also stars Esha Deol and Raashi Khanna. It is based on Idris Elba’s British TV show, Luther.
