YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy expresses grief over stampede, defends Allu Arjun, calls for fair investigation.
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president and former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed grief at the loss of a woman’s life in the stampede at Sandhya Theater, Hyderabad recently and extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
In a post on social media platform X, Mr. Jagan said actor Allu Arjun had shown a responsible approach in expressing grief over the tragedy and offering support to the affected family during this difficult time.
However, he condemned the move to hold Mr. Arjun accountable for the incident. “Blaming him for the stampede, filing criminal charges, or arresting him is neither fair nor acceptable, as he was not involved in the tragic event,” he stated.
Mr. Jagan urged authorities to act judiciously and focus on ensuring justice for the victim’s family without unfairly targeting individuals.
