A total of 950 candidates have been recruited for the Civil Assistant Surgeon posts on the basis of points obtained based in the MBBS/FMGE marks and weightage for contract/outsourced service. A provisional selection list was released by the Medical and Health Services Recruitment Board (MHSRB) on Monday.
Of the total number, 734 candidates have been recruited under Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, 209 candidates under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad and seven under the Institute of Preventive Medicine.
MHSRB had released the notification for recruitment in June this year for 969 posts following which the recruitment board received 4,803 applications. The list was announced on Monday after a certificate verification process was held in November at the Indian Institute of Health and Family Welfare, Vengalrao Nagar.
Congratulating the selected candidates and complementing the recruitment board, Health Minister T. Harish Rao said, “Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao, the process has been transparent and smooth and unheard of anywhere else.”
