YouTuber Maridhas was remanded to judicial custody by a city court until December 27, in connection with a case registered by the Cyber Crime Wing of the Chennai City Police, on a complaint about forging an e-mail purported to be that of an associate executive editor of the News18 media group.
, under sections of 465, 469, 471, and 66 (B) r/w 43 of the Information Technology Act following a complaint from Vinay Sarawagi, Associate Executive Editor, News18 group.

The draft policy for “Responsible Digital Use Among Students”, released on Monday by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, has recommended that parents set structured routines with clear screen-time rules and prioritise privacy, safety, and open conversation with children on digital well-being.
