Now, in a bizarre decision, a jail in Uttarakhand is renting out rooms for those seeking to rule out their “bandhan yog”.
No, we are not joking. Haldwani Jail is believed to be the first jail in the country where one can stay in jail by paying a day’s rent. And how much is it you may ask? Just Rs 500! According to horoscope, if you have a possibility of landing up in jail you can waive that ‘dosh’ by completing your jail time like this.
The superintendent of Haldwani jail has said that if a person wants to stay in jail, then a separate room will be provided for them in the old wing. However, the permission for this odd arrangement has to come from the headquarters.
