India Today
A video has been doing the rounds of the internet in which a beluga whale is getting its health checked by a care-taker. The way the whale is cooperating with the care-taker and the sound it makes after that is winning hearts.
Regular health checkups are mandatory for everyone, even for animals. Health check-ups can be an intimidating affair, but this video of a beluga whale getting an oral health check-up is going viral for all the right reasons. The adorable way in which the whale is getting its check-up done and the sound it makes after that is delightful, just like a baby’s.
In the video, a care-taker from the Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, USA was giving an oral health check-up to a beluga whale. Mystic Aquarium is one of the only two facilities holding Stellar sea lions and beluga whales. The woman carefully checked the mouth of the whale from all sides and, when satisfied, gave a light pat on the whale’s face.
