And ever since, people have been meaning to learn who the next James Bond will be. An array of suggestions and speculations later, it has now come about that Michael Fassbender could be the next potential James Bond. However, it is only based on speculations.
The last James Bond film starring Daniel Craig, No Time To Die (2021) was a blockbuster success. And ever since, the names of a series of Hollywood actors to take over the James Bond baton have come forward. While the names of actors Rege-Jean Page, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Richard Madden, Cillian Murphy and Idris Elba, have been constant, there is a latest addition to the list. Michael Fassbender, who is known for films like Steve Jobs, X-Men and Prometheus, has been backed by 24.49% of bets, as per the James Bond betting market.
About Michael’s chances of becoming the next James Bond, OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman shared, “It’s unclear what’s fuelling the surge for Fassbender. The favourites at the top of the betting market had been stable for months. It was either Cavill, Page, Elba, or Hardy. Anybody else was just sneaking into the top five. Yet, here comes Fassbender. Of course, Fassbender has long been connected to the role. In 2016 he publicly stated he’d never play Bond. In 2019, it was rumoured that he would be the next Bond. Yet, over the last year all has been quiet. So, it’s interesting to see that Fassbender has all of a sudden burst back onto the Bond scene.”
