
Water level in Papanasam dam stands at 60.80 feet

Tirunelveli dams report water levels below maximum capacity with steady inflow and discharge, according to PWD officials.
Water level in Papanasam dam on Sunday was 60.80 feet (maximum level 143 feet) with an inflow of 44.259 cusecs and a discharge of 204.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam was 90.39 ft (maximum level 118 ft) with an inflow of 43 cusecs and a discharge of 150 cusecs, PWD officials said.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
