Current water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar dams near maximum capacity with steady inflow and discharge rates.
Water level in Papanasam dam on Friday stood at 120.60 feet (the maximum level is 143 ft.) with an inflow of 1,040.683 cusecs and a discharge of 1,154.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar dam was 70.77 ft. (118 ft.) with an inflow of 135 cusecs and a discharge of 125 cusecs.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
