
Water level in Papanasam dam stands at 108.45 feet

Current water levels in Papanasam and Manimuthar Dams with inflow and discharge rates provided.
The water level in Papanasam Dam on Tuesday stood at 108.45 feet (maximum level 143 feet). The dam had an inflow of 1,043.99 cusecs and a discharge of 1,004.75 cusecs. The level in Manimuthar Dam stood at 67.84 feet (maximum level 118 feet). The dam had an inflow of 40.21 cusecs and a discharge of 95 cusecs.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Friday pledged to mobilise people in resistance against the BJP-led Union government’s “anti-agricultural worker, anti-farmer, anti-worker, anti-people” laws and policies till they are all repealed, the party said on Friday. In a statement issued here, the CPI(M) said the members took the pledge following a three-day meeting held at Thiruvananthapuram.
