Bomb threat email prompts security response at Delhi Assembly ahead of budget presentation amid concerns over Khalistan references.
A team of bomb squad reached the Delhi Assembly after a suspected bomb threat recieved on the Assembly Speaker’s email address on Tuesday (March 24, 2028) morning.

Sniffer dogs were seen searching the Delhi Assembly premises, including the Speaker’s office.
The bomb threat was sent to the Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta’s email address around 7.30 a.m. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is scheduled to present the annual budget at 11 a.m..
According to the sources, the email had mentions of “Khalistan”, “Nijjar”, and “Khalistan National Army”.
The email has reportedly demanded Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to support the Khalistan referendum and “save herself”, the sources at the Assembly added.
