Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Tuesday stood at 131.65 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 501 cusecs and a discharge of 900 cusecs.
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Tuesday stood at 131.65 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 501 cusecs and a discharge of 900 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 60.99 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 580 cusecs and a discharge of 1,199 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 7,014.41 mcft.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
