Water levels in Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams, along with rainfall data for various areas, reported on Friday.
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam on Friday stood at 130.05 feet (permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 1,276 cusecs and a discharge of 1,400 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the water level stood at 64.30 feet (71 ft) with an inflow of 2,136 cusecs and a discharge of 1,699 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 6,768.15 mcft.
The rainfall (in mm) recorded during the last 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Friday was: Kallandhiri 55, Pulipatti 37.6, Thaniyamangalam 29, Mettupatti 27.4, Melur 25, Chittampatti 10.4, Uthamapalayam 9.8, Shanmuganadhi dam 4.6 and Sathiyar dam 2.8.
