CM Stalin asserts unity in the DMK-led alliance, dismissing division attempts and emphasizing collaborative efforts for the upcoming elections.
DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin said on Wednesday (March 25, 2026) that since attempts to create divisions among the constituents of the Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) had failed, conspiracies criticising the seat-sharing arrangements were now being circulated “based on imagination.”
After completing the seat-sharing arrangements among the constituents of the SPA for the 2026 Assembly elections and concluding interviews with DMK ticket aspirants, Mr. Stalin, in a letter to his party workers, urged them to ignore rumours intended to mislead and to work together with allies to ensure victory in all 234 Assembly segments.

He said during the 10 years of AIADMK rule between 2011 and 2021, the State witnessed deterioration across all sectors. Since coming to power in 2021, the DMK government has undertaken several developmental measures that have helped Tamil Nadu stand out at the national level, he said.
“The contribution of our ideological alliance partners to this achievement has been significant. Recognising this, the seat-sharing talks on behalf of the DMK were conducted in a democratic manner this time as well,” the DMK president said.
