Water levels in Mullaperiyar and Vaigai dams, along with rainfall data for various locations, updated as of Saturday morning.
Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 114.20 feet (permissible level is 142 ft) with an inflow of 197 cusecs and a discharge of 100 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level stood at 55.58 feet (maximum level is 71 ft) with an inflow of 14 cusecs and a discharge of 72 cusecs. The combined storage in Periyar credit was 2033.12 mcft.
Rainfall (in mm) recorded during the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Saturday was: Manjalar dam 15, Kodaikanal 14.4, Mullaperiyar dam 12.4, Marudhanadhi dam 8.6, Vaigai dam 4, Sothupparai dam 2, Uthamapalayam 1.4 and Thekkadi 1.
