Social media users were quick to point out that electric kettles are high-wattage appliances and are not meant to be used inside train coaches. Several commenters warned that such devices could overload the electrical system, trigger short circuits, or even cause fires, putting hundreds of passengers at risk.
The incident led to widespread criticism, with many urging railway authorities to take strict action.

Responding to the viral video, Railway Seva, the official account for customer support, asked the person who shared the clip to provide the passenger’s PNR number and mobile number via direct message so that immediate action could be taken.
