Viral video alleges neglect of white tiger at Patna Zoo. PETA India steps in
India Today
A video of a white tiger appearing weak and lethargic at Patna Zoo has led to public concern and an appeal from PETA India to relocate the animal to a sanctuary.
A viral video showing a white tiger appearing weak inside its enclosure at Patna’s Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park has triggered concern, even as zoo authorities insist the animal is healthy.
The clip, which spread rapidly across social media, shows the tiger moving slowly and looking visibly lean, prompting questions about its well-being. Although the zoo has since issued a press note stating that the tiger is fine and under proper care, the backlash online has not subsided.
In the footage, the white tiger can be seen pacing at a sluggish pace within its enclosure. Viewers quickly pointed out that the animal appeared thin and low on energy.
Many questioned whether it was receiving adequate food, medical supervision, and environmental enrichment. The visuals sparked intense debate, with users demanding clarity and accountability.
