A man was taken aback after he discovered 42 gallons (158 kg) of walnuts under the hood of his car. Yes, you heard that right. Squirrels are known for their habit of stashing food before winter. Bill Fischer, a resident of Fargo in North Dakota, discovered that a little red squirrel had stored 42 gallons of walnut in the hood of his pickup truck. He checked his truck after returning from his 4-day trip only to find a heap of walnuts. There were walnuts everywhere around the car engine. Fischer shared pictures of his car and also the walnuts lying around it.
Bill Fischer shared pictures of his pick-up truck and buckets loaded with walnuts on Facebook. He shared a cheeky note along with the photos and wrote, “Hey, come and get your all-natural Black Walnuts! 42 gallons available. Naturally grown and now industry 1st, all hand (paw) picked by a squirrel, Red Squirrel to be exact. Hurry as these may have limited availability as l hear the hard-working furry tree dweller might be retiring soon due to health reasons! Also, the squirrel is dealing with a caustic work environment due to a relentless micromanaging supervisor of the canine type (sic).” In one of the videos shared by Fischer, his dog can be seen barking at the little intruders.
