US: Gunman kills 3 at Indiana mall before civilian shoots him dead

At least three people have been killed and two injured in a shooting incident that took place in a food court in an Indiana state mall.
Three people were killed and two wounded after a man opened fire in a food court of Indiana state mall in the United States, the police said.
The gunman was killed by an armed civilian, US police said. The incident happened at Greenwood Park Mall.
Chief Jim Ison of the Greenwood Police Department said that the two injured were hospitalised nearby.
“The Greenwood Police Department is in control of the scene. I am in direct contact with the command post, and there is no further threat,” said Mayor Mark Myers to the New York Times.
The gunman, an adult male, was shot dead by an armed civilian. However, any motive or intention behind the shooting is not yet detected by the authorities, the New York Times reported.
Chief Jim Ison, at a press conference, said that the local emergency call center began to receive calls about the shooting in the food court around 6 pm GMT.
Police said the shooter had a long rifle and several magazines of ammunition, Fox News reported.
