The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pushed for resumption of its normal air services with India, UAE envoy to India Ambassador Ahmed Albanna said on Wednesday. He also added that foreign ministers of the four countries-India, UAE, Israel and US-will meet soon.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has pushed for resumption of pre-Covid flight services and going back to the ‘Air Services’ agreement from the current ‘Air Bubble’ agreement, which is leading to an increase in fare prices and unavailability of seats because flights are not running at full capacity.
Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, UAE envoy to India Ambassador Ahmed Albanna said, “We understand the situation and limitations of India. But India is planning on opening up. Hope to see double the number of air services and an increase in capacity under our normal air service agreement. The Covid-19 situation and the different protocols that apply, sometimes become a barrier.”

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
