
U.K. Foreign Minister raises issue of BBC tax searches with EAM Jaishnakar

British Foreign Minister James Cleverly raised the issue of BBC tax searches with External Affairs Minister (EAM) during a bilateral meeting on Wednesday, the Minister told in an interview.
Last month, the Income Tax department conducted searches at the BBC offices in New Delhi and Mumbai.
The searches came after the British broadcaster released a documentary made on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership of Gujarat during riots in 2002.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
