SSLC exams begin in districts

As SSLC Board Examinations began in Ramanathapuram on Wednesday, a total of 17,342 students took the language examination. A total of 17,342 students comprising 8,183 boys and 8,588 girls from 261 schools, along with 571 private candidates, appeared for the exams in 85 centres in the district.
For the language paper, 276 students were abesent.
To monitor the examination, 85 headmasters served as chief superintendents under the Chief Educational Officer. Additionally, 85 teachers served as departmental and additional departmental officers, while 1,033 teachers were on duty as hall supervisors.
Furthermore, 105 standing squads and flying squads led by educational officials have been appointed at the exam centres. Also, 117 teachers have been appointed as scribes to write for students with disabilities, who have been granted an additional hour of time.
Collector Simranjeet Singh Kahlon inspected the examination centre at the Ramanathapuram Municipal Girls Higher Secondary School. Chief Educational Officer L. Rejini and other educational officials were present during the inspection.
