Two arrested for dangerous bike stunts near Secretariat, Lumbini Park
Two youngsters were arrested by Saifabad police for performing dangerous motorcycle stunts and filming social media reels near Lumbini Park and the Telangana Secretariat, creating panic among commuters in a high-security zone.
The accused, identified as Mohammed Akeel, 19, resident of Bolakpur, Musheerabad, and Mohammed Ateeq, 22, a resident of Aghapura, Nampally, were carrying out reckless manoeuvres on busy public roads to gain online attention. Police said their actions posed a serious risk to motorists and pedestrians, particularly in the vicinity of the Secretariat, where security is heightened.
Acting on a tip-off and sustained surveillance, the police tracked the duo and apprehended them. Their motorcycles and mobile phones, allegedly used to record the stunts, were seized. Both have been remanded to judicial custody.
Officials said such behaviour had been causing distress to regular commuters and warned that strict action would be taken against anyone endangering public safety through similar acts on city roads.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
