Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt attended Mahesh Bhatt's birthday party. The actors posed for a happy family photo.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently riding high on the success of their film, Brahmastra. The actors have been going out and about for the post-release promotions of the Ayan Mukerji directorial. Amidst their hectic work schedule, Ranbir and Alia took some time out to celebrate the latter's dad, Mahesh Bhatt's birthday. The filmmaker turned 74 on September 20 and celebrated his special day with family members. Ranbir and Alia were seen twinning in black with the Bhatt family.

Last night, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted in the city for Mahesh Bhatt's birthday bash. The actors were papped outside the filmmaker's residence. Both husband and wife were twinning and winning in black outfits. Earlier today [September 21], Soni Razdan shared a happy family photo on her official Instagram handle.

Sharing the photo on her official IG handle, Soni Razdan captioned her post: "It’s all in the family (sic)." The veteran actress can be seen posing with Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, Rahul Bhatt, Ranbir, Alia and Kunal Kapoor in the photo.

Take a look:

Meanwhile, in an exclusive conversation with IndiaToday.in, Ranbir and Alia revealed who should play Dev and Amrita in Brahmastra 2. "Deepika (Padukone) for sure for Amrita! She is gorgeous and stunning. She has that amazing stature," said Alia.

On the other hand, Ranbir added, "I think, Dev and Amrita are by far the most interesting characters in this trilogy. And for actors to play this part, it is going to be exciting for any actor. Where the cast is concerned, as in who to cast, I think the way Ayan is looking at the trilogy, the way Ayan is looking at the larger picture, I think it is very exciting. It is only going to get more exciting. We have an inclination in which direction it is going but it is only providing more excitement and more grandeur to the trilogy."
