Top seed Cristian Garin of Chile edged out Sumit Nagal 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 in the pre-quarterfinals of the €145,250 Challenger tennis tournament in Poznan, Poland, on Wednesday.
Sumit won seven ATP points and €2,450.
In the $30,000 ITF women’s event in Tauste, Spain, Ankita Raina reached the quarterfinals with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory over Maria Vaquero.
