A number of videos showing Kerala's Lulu Mall outlets flooded with shoppers have gone viral online. The people thronged the malls during the midnight sale.
Several videos showing a huge crowd of people thronging the Lulu Mall outlets in Kochi and Thiruvananthpuram in Kerala have spread on the internet like wildfire. In a bid to revive 'nightlife shopping', Lulu International Shopping Malls announced heavy discounts and sales.
The midnight sale was open to the public from midnight of July 6 till the morning of July 7. Thousands of people gathered to get a minimum 50% discount on almost all of the products. Videos shared by shoppers show a worrying number of people on the escalators, lobby or outside outlets in the Kochi and Thiruvananthpuram branches of the mall.
In fact, some clips showed security trying hard to manage the huge crowds of people armed with shopping bags thronging the mall.
