TDP President Naidu discusses key issues with NTR district president, including bridge construction and irrigation project in Jaggayyapeta.
TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had a special meeting with Nettem Sri Raghuram, NTR district president, at the Secretariat on Friday and discussed key issues and current political scenario in the district.
During the meeting, Mr. Raghuram brought important matters to the Chief Minister’s attention. He highlighted the condition of the Paleti Bridge, located on Jaggayyapeta–Muktyala road, which was severely damaged due to heavy rains last year. He sought construction of a new high-level bridge.
The former Minister sought proper connectivity for the bridge currently being built over the Krishna between Muktyala and Madipadu. Mr. Raghuram highlighted the concerns of Inam landowners, who were unable to sell, mortgage, or even prove clear ownership of their lands due to legal restrictions. He sought a permanent solution by granting full ownership rights on these lands.
He also advocated immediate commencement of the Muktyala Lift Irrigation Project — a decade-long dream for the people of Jaggayyapeta constituency. He pointed out that the project, initiated by the TDP government during its earlier term, aimed at providing irrigation to 38,627 acres across Jaggayyapeta, Vatsavai, and Penuganchiprolu mandals, along with drinking water to 30 villages.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
