India Today
A video of a stray dog on a chair at Kempegowda International Airport has divided internet users, highlighting concerns around hygiene and safety as well as animal welfare.
A viral video showing a stray dog asleep on a chair at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport has ignited a fierce online debate, with users divided over public hygiene concerns and the right of animals to exist in shared urban spaces.
The clip, shared on X by user Harshit Singh, shows a dog curled up on a passenger chair in the airport’s landside area. What might have seemed harmless to some quickly drew sharp criticism from others.
“As I always say, they are taking over everything. This is Bengaluru International Airport where not only Indians but foreigners come around during their journey. Let's put aside 20+ health risks to us because of this stray situation and imagine the second-hand embarrassment,” the caption read.

Soon after the video went viral, Bengaluru International Airport authorities responded, stating: “Thank you for connecting with us. Please be informed that our Landside Operations team is working closely with BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) and local agencies to address the issue of stray dogs at BLR Airport.” The clarification did little to cool tempers online.

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
