
State logs 347 COVID-19 cases on Saturday

The State reported 347 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, when 13,599 samples were tested.
No COVID-19-related deaths were reported on the day, although 21 deaths that occurred on the previous days were added to the list.
The death toll in the State due to COVID-19 had risen to 68,360, the government said. Of the 347 new cases, Ernakulam district accounted for 106 cases and Thiruvananthapuram, 60.
Cases reported on Saturday by the other districts are as follows: Kozhikode (31), Kottayam (29), Alappuzha (23), Kollam (22), Thrissur (18), Idukki (14), Kannur (14), Pathanamthitta (12), Malappuram (12), Palakkad (3), Wayanad (2), Kasaragod (1).
In all, 383 recoveries also were reported Statewide on Saturday.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
