Singapore must brace for a "much bigger" coronavirus infection wave from Omicron as compared to that from the Delta variant, said Health Minister Ong Ye Kung.
Singapore must brace for a "much bigger" coronavirus infection wave from Omicron as compared to that from the Delta variant, the health ministry has said.
At its peak, the number of Omicron cases could be "a few times" more than the approximately 3,000 daily cases that the Delta variant was registering in October and November last year, Health Minister Ong Ye Kung said at a press conference on Wednesday.

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
