Shah Rukh Khan did not attend Ritesh Sidhwani's bash for newlyweds Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar. In place of him, his kids Suhana and Aryan attended the party. Here's why SRK gave it a miss.

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani recently hosted a party at his residence for his friend Farhan Akhtar and his wife Shibani Dandekar. The couple got married on February 19, 2022. The whole of Bollywood descended at his bash. We saw Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora, sisters Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan's kids, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan. SRK, however, couldn't make it to the party. IndiaToday.in has now exclusively learnt why Shah Rukh Khan gave Farhan-Shibani's party a miss.

A source close to the Bollywood superstar informed IndiaToday.in that Shah Rukh Khan was missing from Ritesh Sidhwani's party for Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar because he wants to keep a "low profile".

"Shah Rukh Khan is trying to keep a low profile as much as possible. Unless it is for his work, he is not willing to step out. After his son's arrest in an alleged drug case in October 2021, Shah Rukh Khan has made fewer public appearances. The one time he was spotted was during Pathan's shoot and his look went viral. Post that, he was seen at Lata Mangeshkar's funeral," the source said.

Though Shah Rukh Khan couldn't attend Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar's wedding, he did extend good wishes to the couple. "He called up Farhan and Shibani and congratulated them on their wedding and sent them best wishes. His family went to the function and represented him," the source added.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Zero with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. The film bombed at the box office and post that SRK hasn't returned to the movies yet. He will be making his comeback with Siddharth Anand's Pathan, also featuring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
