Rift in AAP? MP Raghav Chadha removed as party’s Rajya Sabha deputy leader, know who will replace him

The move comes as Chadha has remained silent on several key developments involving the party and its leadership, which has led to rumours of a possible rift within AAP.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has removed Raghav Chadha as its deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha and replaced him with MP Ashok Mittal, according to party sources. A formal communication about the change has been sent to the Rajya Sabha secretariat.
The move comes as Chadha has remained silent on several key developments involving the party and its leadership, which has led to rumours of a possible rift within AAP. He did not publicly react after a court discharged AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and others in the Delhi excise policy case in February. His silence on social media and in public statements raised questions among political observers.
Chadha was also absent from important party events, including a press conference addressed by Kejriwal at the party office and a public meeting at Jantar Mantar, where the AAP leader strongly criticised the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). His absence further increased speculation about his role in the party.
