Kashmir earthquake: An earthquake jolted parts of Jammu and Kashmir on late Friday, triggering panic among residents across several districts in the valley. According to early reports, tremors were felt in parts of Kashmir Valley, with panicked residents rushing out of their homes in several areas, including Srinagar and nearby Budgam districts.
As per officials, that the moderate intensity quake was felt across Kashmir at around 9:45 PM, sparking panic among residents in several districts, including in Srinagar and Budgam. However, no casualties, loss of life, or material damage was reported, they stated.
Preliminary reports suggest no casualties or major property damage has been reported from any district of Jammu and Kashmir, the State Disaster Management Authority said in a statement.
