Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are going to get married very soon. In the first week of October, they will exchange wedding vows in the presence of their families and close friends. Their pre-wedding festivities have kickstarted today, September 29, and fans can't wait to see dreamy photos from the functions. Ahead of their wedding, Richa and Ali issued an official statement via audio note on social media.

Ali Fazal took to his official Instagram handle and shared an audio clip with fans. In the audio, both Richa and Ali can be heard saying, "Two years ago, we formalised our union and just then the pandemic hit us all. Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other. And now, as we all enjoy this window of respite, we are finally celebrating with our families and friends and are so very touched and grateful for all the blessings that are coming our way. We offer you nothing but our love. (sic)."

Yesterday, Richa and Ali were spotted at the airport, leaving for Delhi to begin their pre-wedding celebrations. As per our source close to the couple, a number of 5 mehendi artists were flown down from Rajasthan for Richa and Ali's wedding. The 3 Idiots actor's family members also arrived from Lucknow and Canada on September 28, 2022. Their mehendi and sangeet ceremonies will take place at a friend's home with sprawling lawns.

Talking about the couple, they first met on the sets of Fukrey and hit it off instantly. Over a period of time, they grew fond of each other and now, they are ready to take the plunge.
