Aamir Khan won hearts as Bhuvan in the cricket-based period film Lagaan. While practising his batting skills, Aamir was seen promoting the new song, Kahani, for Laal Singh Chaddha. In one of the videos, he asks his team, "IPL mein chance hai kya (Do I have a chance to make it to IPL teams)?"
Recently, Star Sports posted a video on their social media handles where the anchor is seen asking Ravi Shastri if Aamir has a chance to play for any of the IPL teams. "The boss has spoken! #AamirKhan, What do you think of @ravishastriofficial's analysis of your batting (sic)?"
When former Indian coach Ravi Shastri was asked to analyse Aamir's cricketing skills, he said, "He looks good in net. Probably, he needs to spend some time on his footwork. But should get into most teams."
Laal Singh Chaddha was initially slated to release in theatres on Christmas 2021. The film will now hit cinemas in August. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the makers had postponed the film's release date. As reported earlier, the film is the official Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. The Hollywood film, which featured Tom Hanks in the lead role, was released in 1994.
Laal Singh Chaddha features Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan in lead roles. Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and Manav VJ have been roped in to play pivotal roles. Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chauhan.
