Pushpa vs Valimai vs Bheemla Nayak. How Allu Arjun beat Ajith, Pawan Kalyan at the box office

The war between Allu Arjun's Pushpa vs Ajith's Valimai vs Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak was interesting to watch at the box office. However, Pushpa emerged as the clear-cut winner.

South Indian films are setting unprecedented box office records. In the recent days, films like Allu Arjun's Pushpa, Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak and Ajith Kumar's Valimai have rocked the theatres worlwide and impressed the audience. In one week, the three films managed to hold the majority of the screens in India. However, if we have to compare their first week's box office collections, we have a clear-cut winner among them all, and it's undoubtedly - Pushpa. While Pushpa minted crores in its first week of release, Valimai and Bheemla Nayak are struggling to catch up. Let's decode that, shall we?

South Indian films Valimai (Tamil) and Bheemla Nayak (Telugu) clashed at the box office last week. Valimai hit the screens on February 24. Having stepped into the second week, Valimai has maintained a steady run at the box office worldwide. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala revealed that on Day 8, Valimai crossed Rs 165 crores worldwide. Ajith Kumar played the role of assistant commissioner Arjun in Valimai. The cop drama is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Pugazh, Sumithra and Pearle Maaney played important roles in the film.

Ever since Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati's Bheemla Nayak released on February 25, it has become the talk of the town. Despite the fact that it opened alongside Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Valimai, two of the most anticipated films for years now, Bheemla Nayak did phenomenally well. The film opened to Rs 37 crore (nett) across India out of which Rs 32.25 crore (nett) came from Nizam/ Andhra alone.

According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film is inching close to Rs 200 crore at the box office worldwide. At the end of Day 7, the drama film managed to mint Rs 193.41 crore at the worldwide mark. Here's a tweet on day-wise collection.
