
Public needs should be considered for link roads construction in Hyderabad: Telangana CM

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy emphasizes public needs have to be considered in Hyderabad link road construction, prioritizing connectivity and future growth.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy suggested that the construction of link roads in Hyderabad should be undertaken in line with public needs and acquisition of lands for the roads should not be a problem irrespective of the cost involved.
Mr. Reddy held a review meeting at the Integrated Command Control Centre (ICCC) in the city on Saturday (March 29, 2025) on the construction and expansion of link roads being undertaken under the auspices of Hyderabad Road Development Corporation (HRDCL) in the capital city as well as within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.
The Chief Minister gave suggestions on the construction and expansion of 49 identified roads and directed the officials that the construction of roads should be such that connectivity between different areas can be increased to reduce inconvenience. Wider public interests should be kept in mind, he said.
He said additional costs for land acquisition should not be a problem as the roads were being developed or expanded keeping in mind the future needs of the city that would grow at a rapid pace during this decade.
The Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, State Government Advisor (Infrastructure) Srinivasa Raju, Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretaries V. Seshadri, Chandrasekhar Reddy, CM Special Secretary Ajith Reddy, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, Municipal Administrator and Urban Development Department Principal Secretary Dana Kishore and others were present.
