Though Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai emphatically said on Friday afternoon that the portfolios would be allocated to Ministers by the end of the day, that appears unlikely to happen. Sources in the party said the Chief Minister had sent the list to the party high command and it would be announced as soon as the central leadership approves it. Meanwhile, several Ministers continued lobbying for preferred portfolios which may have delayed the allocation, the sources said.More Related News

Delhi’s official weather station at Safdarjung recorded 104.8 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, pushing the cumulative rainfall this rainy season to 38% above normal. From June 1, the start of monsoon in Delhi, the city has received 509.22 mm of rainfall.
