PM Modi lays foundation stone of Ganga Expressway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 18 laid the foundation stone of the 594-km Ganga Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur district.
Starting near Bijauli village in Meerut, the expressway is till Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj. It passes through Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Budaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj districts of the State.
Upon completion of work, it will become the longest expressway of Uttar Pradesh, connecting the western and eastern regions of the State.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
