Parvatipuram MLA solves 10-year-old electricity wiring problem in village
Parvatipuram MLA Bonela Vijayachandra on Saturday asked APEPDCL officials to ensure quality power supply in all villages while strengthening the transmission and distribution lines in remote areas. In a press release issued here on Saturday, he thanked them for resolving the 10-year-old problems of Chilakapalli village of Balijipeta mandal of Parvatipuram Manyam district by ensuring new electricity wiring at a cost of ₹42.5 lakh.
Several people were electrocuted due to the poor quality wiring in the village and locals got a concrete assurance from Mr. Vijaya Chandra during election campaign to solve the problem. The Parvatipuram MLA took up the issue seriously and made APEPDCL officials to erect new electric poles with proper wiring to prevent mishaps in future. The MLA, who was felicitated by the villagers for fulfilling the promise, told media that an action plan had been prepared to resolve the grievances of people of his Parvatipuram Assembly constituency.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday ordered the issue of a notice to the State government on a PIL petition, which had complained about disturbances caused to people residing in the localities around the National Public School situated in Rajajinagar 5th block due to use of loudspeakers with high volume in the school and parking of school buses in residential areas.
