In a video, Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah said she had to leave her lip filler procedure midway after the country's government froze her bank accounts.
Pakistani TikTok star Hareem Shah has claimed that she had to leave her lip filler procedure midway because the country's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) froze her bank accounts.
In the video, Hareem Shah's upper lip is swollen, apparently a result of her leaving the lip filler treatment midway. I am in the UK right now. Today I went to the doctor to get my lip filler done. The doctor had just inserted a filler on one side of my lip when I received a call and I got to know that the FIA has frozen my bank accounts."
Hareem Shah further said that she decided to leave the procedure midway since it was expensive and her accounts had been frozen.
According to a report in Dawn, the FIA had launched a money laundering probe against Hareem Shah on January 12 after she uploaded a video on a social media platform claiming that she travelled from Pakistan to the UK with a significant amount of cash.
In the video, Hareem Shah could be seen holding two stacks of British pounds and saying this was the first time she had carried a "heavy amount" from Pakistan to London. She also criticised the Pakistani government, saying that people get sad when they have to convert Pakistani rupees into euros or dollars.

Leon Panetta said Iran war was not an unexpected risk. He pointed out that for years, US security officials have known Iran could disrupt global oil supplies by blocking the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, this was a well-known danger, but one that appears to have been overlooked in the current conflict.
