
Over ₹1.5 lakh worth of MDMA and ganja seized during raids in Hyderabad

Excise raids in Hyderabad seize drugs worth ₹1.5 lakh, leading to arrests of five individuals in drug trade.
In a series of coordinated raids across Hyderabad, excise teams seized over 3.3 kilograms of ganja and 21.3 grams of MDMA, arresting five individuals in connection with drug trade. The estimated value of the seized narcotics is over ₹1.5 lakh.
In Anandnagar, Uppal, an employee of a real estate firm was arrested with 21.3 grams of MDMA. The drug, sourced from Bengaluru at ₹3,000 per gram, was being sold in Hyderabad for up to ₹6,000 per gram. A bike and mobile phone were also seized.
Simultaneously, three separate ganja raids were carried out. In Malkajgiri, two men, including Hari of Prashanthanagar and Akhil of Vijayawada, were arrested with 1.12 kilogram of ganja and a two-wheeler. In Dhoolpet, a woman named Gauri Bai was arrested with 1.28 kilogram of ganja, while another suspect, Mahima Devi, was booked. In Qutbullapur, 1.09 kilogram of ganja was seized from Mazhar Uddin of Bidar.
All cases have been handed over to the respective excise stations. Officials said further investigations are underway to identify the larger networks behind these peddlers.
