Rehabilitation of villagers whose land has been acquired for the first phase of the Noida International Airport is targeted to be completed by June 30, according to government officials involved in the project. A total of 3,003 families are to be rehabilitated and resettled in Jewar Bangar, a township being developed for villagers whose land has been acquired, and so far, 600 have been moved there, the officials said. “Monetary compensation has been paid to the families whose land has been acquired by the Uttar Pradesh government for the Greenfield airport under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation Act, 2013,” said the project’s nodal officer Shailendra Bhatia.More Related News
