
Odisha farmer builds solar-powered car that can run 300 km after full charge

A farmer from Odisha recently built a solar-powered car during the period of lockdown. He built the vehicle just by reading some books and watching YouTube videos.
A farmer in Odisha has created quite a buzz online by building an electric four-wheeler that runs on a solar-powered battery. The farmer, who hails from Mayurbhanj, built a car that is powered by an 850 Watts motor, 100 Ah/ 54 Volts of battery and can run 300 km on a single charge. Sushil Agarwal from Karanjia subdivision of Odisha's Mayurbhanj told ANI that he started creating the car during the Covid-19 lockdown.
