New Zealand suspends entry of travellers from India amid surge in Covid infections

Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, has announced a temporary ban on travellers from India effective April 11 onwards in light of the recent surge in coronavirus infections.

New Zealand has suspended the entry of travellers from India in light of the recent surge in Covid-19 infections. The temporary suspension will be enforced from April 11 onwards, said government officials. Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand made the announcement during a briefing in Auckland earlier today. The suspension will be in force from 4 pm on April 11 till April 28, PM Jacinda Ardern said.
